Project Pony
Dewy is a 3 year old (currently) 12.3+ hand, thought to be a Welsh or Welsh Cross pony gelding. He should mature around 13.1-2 hands.
He was rescued from a kill pen as a weanling with his mother and several other potential relatives.
Dewy is going into his 5th month in training now. He came in barely halter broke and is now doing big boy things! I think he finished out to be an amazing little ranch pony or English pony.
Dewy has a great personality. He has become very affectionate and loves attention. He can still have his moments, but he's a quick learner with a great work ethic. He's very rewarding to work with and a handy kid could absolutely take him over at this point. He also lives great in a herd of all kinds of horses and would make a perfect companion pony.
Dewy ties, has had baths, he wears a saddle, he has been desensitized with the flag, he lunges, has free jumped and has been ridden bareback a handful of times, he has been around cows and lots of dogs. He gave zero cares the first time ridden and has offered no funny business when on him. Due to his age we have not worked him hard under saddle, but he is just about ready to take that next step.
He would be a great little project for a older kid or a parent that wants to train something for their kid. We know ponies get out grown and passed around, but our goal is to find him the right next person who will ensure he has a successful future and not end up in a bad situation again.
Dewy is in good health and UTD on coggins and vx.
