Audit Fee: $35 per day, $60 for two days, $70 for all three
Lilo Fore, originally from near Düsseldorf, Germany, began
her lifelong passion for dressage at age four. After moving to
the U.S. in 1971, she purchased a three-year-old
Thoroughbred named Dionysus for $1 and trained him into a
U.S. “Horse of the Year” at every level.
Over more than 30 years, Lilo has excelled as a breeder,
trainer, coach, competitor, and international judge. She was
shortlisted for the U.S. Equestrian Team in 1976 and founded
Sporthorse America in Santa Rosa, CA, helping elevate
American dressage to international standards.
As an FEI 5★ judge, she served on Ground Juries at major
competitions including the Olympics, Pan American Games,
World Cup Finals, and World Equestrian Games. A founding
chair of the USDF Instructor-Trainer Certification Program,
she has been a leading educator for U.S. trainers and judges.
In 2017, Lilo Fore was inducted into the USDF Hall of Fame,
honoring her exceptional contributions to the advancement
of dressage in the United States.
