Position Overview:
We are seeking a positive, enthusiastic Riding Instructor to teach lessons to children and adults within our Riding School. The ideal candidate is patient, safety-oriented, and able to make lessons both educational and fun while instilling good horsemanship values.
Responsibilities:
• Teach beginner through intermediate riding lessons.
• Instruct students in horsemanship, barn safety, and horse care.
• Create lesson plans that are age-appropriate, engaging, and goal-oriented.
• Ensure a safe riding environment for students and horses.
• Assist with pony/horse management, tack fitting, and barn organization as needed.
Qualifications:
• Strong riding and teaching background.
• Patience, positivity, and the ability to motivate young riders.
• Knowledge of horse care, safety practices, and foundational horsemanship.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other instructors and barn staff.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.
• USPC certification or relevant teaching credentials a plus.
Compensation:
Competitive pay commensurate with experience. Lesson rates, scheduling, and additional opportunities (clinics, camps, shows) will be discussed during the interview.
